All women of the parish are included in the ECW. ECW stands for Episcopal Church Women. The ECW hosts a number of events each year to encourage fellowship among parishioners and traditionally hosts a Holiday Bazaar to fund outreach grants for many different community organizations such as the Mamaroneck-Larchmont Student Aid Foundation, Hope Community Services, the Community Resource Center, and many others.
Within the ECW, there are three active guilds. Women of the parish are welcome to attend any events offered by the guilds but each one has a slightly different focus based on where we are in our stage of life: St. Anne’s offers fellowship opportunities for women with young children through elementary school age (roughly infants through 3rd grade), St. Margaret’s is geared towards women with older elementary children and those in middle school, and older women in the church enjoy St. Martha’s Guild meetings where they often create items such as blankets for those in need, or items for the bazaar. Guild events are announced in the weekly bulletin and emails get sent directly to interested parties. If you would like to be on an email list and are not or would like to be removed from the list then please let Karen Gray know at [email protected]. If anyone is interested in starting a new guild with a new focus, please speak to Karen Gray.
Typical ECW events include:
- Fall welcoming morning coffee
- Fall cocktail party
- November holiday bazaar
- December holiday luncheon
- Lenten evening speaker
- Lenten or Easter trip
- Reception for the Bishop and confirmands
- May luncheon
- ECW spring dinner
