Annual Meeting: January 21, 2018

Annual Meeting: January 21, 2018
The annual parish meeting is fast-approaching – on Sunday, January 21st
We aim to engage and hear from as many parish members as possible, so please attend. To that end, we will be “shaking things up” to make the best use of everyone’s time – i.e., the meeting will be efficient and to the point. Babysitting and a light lunch will be provided.

We intend to conclude the meeting after one hour.

  • We will hold the meeting in the church/sanctuary. We will start with the election of Nominating Committee members during the 10:00 AM service’s announcements.  We will resume immediately after the conclusion of the Eucharist, with a limited number of brief presentations, opportunity for Q & A, final voting and announcement of voting results. (The Nominating Committee proposes warden and Vestry candidates.)
  • We invite all parishioners to adjourn to the Parish Hall immediately after the meeting in the church/sanctuary for a light lunch, fellowship and further discussion.
  • Various church groups, committees and staff members will prepare brief, written reports. We will post them on our website before the annual meeting. We will have hard-copy handouts available for you, in the Parish Hall following the annual meeting.
  • To expedite nominations for the Nominating Committee, please let Rick Berry ([email protected] ) know if you are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee or if you would like to nominate someone. We will also welcome nominations during the service announcements (which will start the annual meeting).
  • We will vote for the Junior Warden and four Vestry members. As we have announced since early December, the 2017 Nominating Committee has nominated for Junior Warden: Robin Ingram and for the Vestry Class of 2018: Pete Bennitt, Karen Hall, J.B. Simko, and Dan VanderWoude.

Questions: please contact Rick Berry if you have any questions.
