Join us at St. John’s for the culmination of Lent, as we journey from Palm Sunday through Easter:

Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019, 8:00 am and 10:00 am:
Children should come to the parish hall at 9:45 am to join in the children’s procession of the palms. Sunday School will be held during the 10:00 am service. There is no coffee hour on Palm Sunday.

Maundy Thursday, April 18, 2019, 7:00 pm:
This is the observance of Jesus gathering with his disciples for what has come to be call The Last Supper, at which he instituted the Holy Eucharist. The word “maundy” is derived from the Latin mandatum, meaning “commandment,” as in the commandment that Jesus gave to his disciples to love one another as Jesus loves us. The service ends with the stripping of the altar in preparation for the observance of Good Friday.

Good Friday, April 19, 2019, 10:00 am, Family Observance:
St. John’s will join St. Thomas, Mamaroneck and All Saints, Harrison for a Good Friday service and activity that are especially appropriate for children. St. Thomas Episcopal Church Chapel (168 West Boston Post Road), Mamaroneck. For more information contact Mo. Alissa.

Good Friday, April 19, 2019, 12:00 noon:
This marks the day on which Jesus was crucified and died. We observe Good Friday with the recounting of the Passion, veneration of the Cross, praying of the Solemn Collects and distribution of Holy Communion which was consecrated on Maundy Thursday.
